About Pulling the Thread:

An exhibition exploring the life, travels and memories of Lady Graves Sawle, a pioneering and unconventional Victorian woman. On display in the exhibition is a late 20th century quilt made by Rose Graves Sawle, as well as her personal diaries and other objects. Lady Graves Sawle published sketches form her diaries, wrote poetry and subverted female norms by turning her hand to design and photography.
