This month we welcome City of Lights to our Makers Workshop series.

Have you ever wanted to make a lantern? Meet the City of Lights artists and bring along your family or friends to make an illuminated artwork which can become part of a larger trail project across the City of Truro.

Our Makers Workshops are a celebration of our heritage building during our theatre’s opening season. Inviting makers working in Cornwall, we are offering the opportunity to join a variety of creative workshops. With a different workshop held each month, Hall for Cornwall offers the opportunity to visit our new space and leave with a new piece of work you’ve created yourself.

Exploring the materials present in our Grade II listed theatre and the many uses our building has had, we have programmed workshops which explore everything from the terrazzo flooring to the oak panels in the auditorium. City Of Lights put a spotlight on the important role that creativity through performance and community have in Truro.

Other makers running workshops at Hall for Cornwall include Badger & Birch, Starglazers, Sarah Drew, Wild Rose Cornwall, and Wild Sea Calligraphy.

Makers Workshops are made possible thanks to a generous award from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

All materials provided and no prior experience necessary. Workshops are hosted in a friendly, inclusive and accessible location within Hall for Cornwall.

Tickets £10 per family of up to 4 maximum (includes a beverage)
